Exercise 3: Talk To Others
Now, I want you to pick up your phone and call any girl that you know and start a conversation. If you don’t have any, then the next step is to walk to a random girl on the street or anywhere you find them and try to say at least “Hi”.
If your worried about what they would say back, say something like “Hey, do you know where this shop is?” or “does this bus take you this place?”. Your goal is not to get a answer, but it is to break the ice and be able to approach a girl and talk to her – getting a answer back is a bonus if you want to see it that way.
This may be hard for you at the starting but this builds up your confidence really easily. If approaching a girl in the street is hard, then talk to a girl from your class or a friend’s friend. This is easier to do but takes longer to build up the confidence required to approach any girl you want to.

I think this excersize is great! I have MANY geek friends, and I have helped a few with this type of thing….and it really works.
I’m just wondering if some people won’t really know how do break the ice. Unless you are looking for a geek girl, there are somethings you might not want to start a conversation with.
Maybe another post on how to communicate with non-geeks would be helpful.

Good post. You make some great points that most people do not fully understand.

I like how you explained that. Very helpful. Thanks.
